William A. Ryan, President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and CEO of Ascendra, Bill is responsible for Ascendra’s strategic direction and overall performance. A proven senior executive with over 30 years of experience in the federal contracting space, he brings practical experience in finance, accounting and information systems to help shape customer solutions.

Prior to the creation of Ascendra, Bill served as the Chief Financial Officer for DigitalNet Government Solutions (DGS), a wholly owned subsidiary of DigitalNet, Inc., which was acquired by BAE Systems in October 2004. As a key member of the DigitalNet Senior Leadership Team, Bill helped execute an overall corporate strategy that included the successful purchase and integration of two major acquisitions, a $125 million bond offering and a $90 million IPO. During his time at DGS, Bill oversaw the selection and successful implementation of a variety of financial systems including the Oracle E-Business Suite and Hyperion Essbase.

Prior to DigitalNet, Bill served as the Vice President of Finance for Getronics Government Solutions and Wang Government Services. During this time, he played a significant role in the purchase and integration of a number of strategic acquisitions including I-Net, API and J. G. Van Dyke & Associates. He partnered with DCAA to resolve a five year backlog of unaudited incurred cost submissions and brought the company and its acquired entities current on all required submissions. Bill participated in the development of a Program Management Best Practices curriculum and taught the financial module in training sessions.

Bill started his career with Honeywell Federal Systems (HFS) in 1980 and is a graduate of its Financial Development Program. In his time there prior to its acquisition by Wang, he held a number of increasingly responsible accounting and finance positions including Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Peter Kolovos, Vice President of Business Development

Peter is an accomplished Information Technology professional and business executive with over 20 years of experience in the strategic design, development and implementation of technology-based solutions for Fortune 500 companies. His exceptional leadership, team building, analytic, organizational and client management skills have been vital to the successful delivery of business critical solutions to clients that include Marriott Corporation, Booz Allen Hamilton, Verizon, Nextel and Equant. Peter’s entrepreneurial record also includes co-founding and launching a legal research application, casefinder.com.

Peter’s in-depth business experience and technical understanding of enterprise software architecture and software development methodologies complement his leadership abilities. As a hands-on business leader, he has continued to be responsible for overseeing project and account management for key clients, as well as leading the company’s executive team, business development team and delivery organization. An accomplished team builder, he can manage large and small teams, effectively bridging both technical and business organizations for the successful delivery of assigned business objectives.

Prior to his role with Ascendra, Peter founded Intelix, Inc. in 1997 to deliver strategic business solutions through the application of technology. As President and CEO of Intelix, Peter provided vision and strategic business direction for the company and is credited with its overall performance and success. In addition to fostering Intelix’s empowered culture, Mr. Kolovos provided strategic market direction and corporate oversight, ensuring Intelix’s leadership position in the IT Services industry.

Stephen Dvoranchik, Vice President of Microsoft Technologies

Stephen Dvoranchik is a seasoned technology professional with over 17 years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of strategic solutions utilizing Microsoft Technologies. Mr. Dvoranchik’s experience spans multiple industries in both the private and public sector including Federal Civilian Agencies and Department of Defense. He is a Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional focusing on both Cloud and On-Premise Microsoft technologies including Office 365, SharePoint, SQL Server, Business Intelligence, and Azure.

Mr. Dvoranchik provides architectural guidance and implementation expertise to many of Ascendra’s clients as well as maintains the relationship between Ascendra and Microsoft’s sales and product teams. Prior to joining Ascendra, Mr. Dvoranchik worked for several large and small companies including AMS (now CGI), Intelix, and MicroLink.

Ron Cuneo, Board of Advisors, Ascendra Inc.

Mr. Cuneo’s executive experience spans multiple industries with both mature and early stage companies. He is knowledgeable in both the public and private sector markets and has been a consultant to a number of technology firms: US Web, B2B Galaxy, BTG, Tech River, OptiView, and Vienna Web Technologies.

Mr. Cuneo served in marketing and executive management positions in General Electric’s information systems division and later with Honeywell. In 1976, he directed Honeywell’s major defense information systems program, the World Wide Military Command and Control System. He subsequently served as National Market Director for Honeywell’s Xerox program, and in 1981 he became Vice President of Corporate Accounts. In 1982, he was appointed Vice President and General Manager of Honeywell Federal Systems, where in eight years he brought in more than $1.5 billion in federal contracts. Through his leadership, he evolved the company from its traditional role as a provider of proprietary systems into a full-service provider of integrated information systems.

He has been affiliated with numerous professional organizations and served for over 20 years on the Board of Directors of the Armed Forces Communication and Electronics Association. He also served on the boards of the Riggs Bank of Washington, U.S. Web Cornerstone, INET, Vienna Web Technologies, Tech River, and Frontier Securities Management.
